It's not uncommon among my friends (female friends) to consider a successful marriage as a way to be financially secure. I mean, it's expected that a good husband will pay all the bills, provide living and everything. A wife has to just do housekeeping and she might have a part-time job to keep her earnings to herself for things such as cosmetics or luxury items or just to have her own money.
My question is,
Do American girls expect that their marriage will be a solution and support for those things.?
people are different but anyway..

In the past, American females were often in charge of housekeeping and taking care of children. However, these days, many American females work and help pay the bills. In fact, I've known many families in which the wife earns more money than her husband! To answer your question, I think American females strive to be financially independent and do not really see marriage as the only way to be financially secure.
