I am not very into politics, but I'd say that, globally, Flanders is a bit more right-wing and Wallonia is a bit more left-wing.
But I know native French speakers who vote for right-wing parties, of course everyone has his own opinions (and I unfortunately don't know any Dutch speaker well enough to tell you what party they vote for, but it's the same, 100% sure that all Dutch speakers don't vote for right-wing parties obviously haha). :)

@martino96 thanks for the opinion! I read some Flanders political discussion on FB but I couldn't understand Dutch but seemed obvious regionalism so I was wondering how much difference..

@martino96 how's the political situation in Belgium? As in, are the people very divided than they used to be or are they moving in a certain direction politically?

@inferior1 As I said, I'm not very into politics, but it seems to be quite devided. Some people in Flanders want Flanders to be independent, some in Wallonia want Wallonia to be a part of France, and the majority love Belgium as it is and want to save our country.
You must also know that, because our two main languages are French and Dutch, there are Dutch speaking parties and French speaking parties, which makes things even more complicated, because each party has an equivalent in the other language, but they are still 2 different parties.
Moreover, people are really devided between right and left, the first party in Flanders being N-VA (very right-wing, but not far right), while in Wallonia it isn't as clear, but PS (left) is always in a good position. Also, N-VA is quite positive towards the independence of Flanders.
Finally, our electoral system is also a mess, because parties make alliances to get more votes, and it can happen that the party that has the more votes is not the elected party because two parties who had each fewer votes, but together more votes, made an alliance. They are therfore elected, and not the first party.
Far right parties are not very strong because there is the so called "cordon sanitaire", which is an agreement between national media not to show members from those parties. Some think it is necessary, some think it is anti-democratic.
At the moment, our prime minister is from MR ("Mouvement Réformateur"), which is a francophone right-wing party.

Very interesting! We have the same thing here with the alliances etc. There are basically two blocks containing several parties that have made alliances. However when of them is in panic at the moment due to decrease in popularity and collaboration with a party that isn't in any alliance.

@inferior1 Ah I see! Here, alliances change at every election hahaha, it's always very confusing :')

@inferior1 I don't know, I love my country hahaha.
People tend to say that you should avoid Brussels, but I don't know why, the city is very interesting and we have very beautiful places. The Grand-Place itself is a masterpiece but there are a lot of other beautiful and/or interesting places (Horta's house, The comic's books museum, the European institutions that you can visit for free, the Atomium, etc.!).
About other cities (of course I know them less):
Brugge is one of my favourite cities in the world, it's one of the prettiest cities I know. We call it "the North's Venice".
Gent is very beautiful as well.
Namur is pretty too, and I especially love the atmosphere in that city, I feel home there.
Mons is little but very beautiful.
You can also visit the battlefield of Waterloo, where Napoleon lost.
I don't really know other cities but it seems that Antwerp is very interesting as well.
Moreover, Belgians are cool people, we love to party and are usually very open about other cultures.

@inferior1 I guess that France, Germany and the Netherlands look more attractive for tourists: they are older and therefore better known :)
