I'm a beginner in Japanese. I've just finished learning the basics grammar and some kanjis of grade 1,2 and now I'm practicing on those by trying to translate simple English sentences to Japanese, then I'll bring my sentences here to see what I've done wrong and fixed them.
However I made many mistakes as I just brought words together in a way that seemed understandable to me, but it turned out many( if not all😢) of my sentences are unnatural, they're just not the way how you guys ( Japanese people) would say such things.
Due to this facts, I want to ask if that practice of mine will help me learn more about how sentences in Japanese are formed or not? If it's not a good practice, please suggest me some ways to improve my understanding of the basic grammar and how to use them properly.

I’ve studied Japanese for over 9 years. Learn where particles go and fun fact, pronouns can be dropped in Japanese such as:
スーパーでりんごを買いましたか。
Did you buy apples at the super market?
I can understand way back when I started studying that it is disappointing getting a sentence wrong.
I used Rosetta Stone at first then books then websites. I practiced on a website that still exists called Lang-8.
Just practice is all I can say. What type of grammar have you looked at?

+/ Tae Kim's Grammar Guides for the Grammar
+/ Youtube videos, Kanji Tree andAnki for Kanji and Vocab
+/ I also used Duolingo as well but now I don't anymore bc I feel it's not so practical.
+/ Some online websites for grammar exercises
Other than that, I've just started watching anime w/ Japanese subtitles. I'm very into anime and it's also suggested as a good way of learning as well so I really enjoy it.
I know practice it's the key to all of my questions but I'm also convinced that bad practices never make perfect so it's kinda confusing 😢

Sometimes it can help to memorize sentences you've heard or read, and then to try making your own variations on that sentence.
The best thing would be to find someone who is a native speaker and can also analyze/break down the grammar for you.
There are all kinds of people on this app, so there's no guarantee that the first person to come along and reply to you will be able.
I would ask straight-out for an explanation of any grammar mistakes you make when you post on HiNative. People won't always assume they need to explain things.
If you ask for it outright, you'll get useful feedback to help improve.

I'm native Japanese, but I can write and read English sentences a little.
Using foreign language needs to read and write many sentences in the language, I think.
Is there a library near you? Is there any book in very easy Japanese? I think using dictionary helps you a lot.
