Family courts are already biased toward men. The idea that they're biased toward women is a common piece of conservative propaganda.

I think custody is more of a who is a better parent / more equipped to take care of a kid more so than a gender thing

In general, it is very difficult to prove that the father is being abusive even though an abusive father is a factor in a majority of custody battles. Shared custody is the goal of most family courts even though it is proven to work out worse for the children.

@luluabaza The cycle of men raised under a single mother results in more future fathers incapable of parenting because they had lacked a father figure in their childhood. By definition, feminists would support equal custody and encourage men to be present in their child’s life.
I do not believe gender bias exists in the courts. However, I do think that argument is used to excuse child neglect from fathers.

Feminists are simply asking for equal treatment towards woman in the society and they have no say in men's rights. Ofcourse we do care about the rights of a fellow individual but don't get confused between a feminist and a 'pseudo-feminist'.

When someone interjects a feminist discussion with: What about men's rights/issues, then this is detracting from the argument and derailing a fruitful conversation. But specific men's issues do go hand in hand with feminism sometimes because the box we put men in harms both genders. The fact that the only permissible emotion for men is anger, the fact that men can't be sensitive and nurturing to their children, the fact that they must put all their time at work and not at home. These are harmful stereotypes that harm men and women. if these were fixed, it would also help feminism and men both.
