Hi! 😊 I'm 16 years old and I'm planning to become an exchange student in the USA in one year. I want to ask if American teenagers are nice to foreigners. Is it hard to find common ground with them?

Generally people are nice to foreigners, especially the younger generations.
Unless you're going into the 'deep south', you shouldn't have any issues.

Most people will be nice to foreigners, but just like any other country, there will be people who aren't so accepting. People over here are really interested in foreigners, since they're new and exciting at first, but after a while you'll just blend in like everyone else.

(I'm 16 and live in Alabama - and I was a foreigner XD)

I'm in the deep south and even in my extremely redneck school everyone was nice. I guess that's surprising. haha

American teenagers usually love foreign exchange students. They will ask you really stupid questions though 😂 I think that Americans are friendly and accepting of other people. My family actually hosted a foreign exchange student and she became friends with all of the other foreign exchange students. She was shy so she didn't have many American friends but if you like to talk to people you will have a lot of friends 😊😊

I am technically almost teen. But, yeah, I think they'll like you. Most transfer kids in general in my school because crazy popular.

I'm in high school and at my school there are tons of foreign exchange students. There one from Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, and Australia and I'm sure there's more

Yes most people are extremely nice to exchange students in my experience. If you make friends easily in general it shouldn't be that different to do so here in America, so don't worry about that! You'll have fun :)
