not reall, we do have lots of dangerous animals but only a few people a year die as a result, usually snake bites, but the city's are really quite safe.

It really depends where you live in Australia I guess. I live in the northern tropics so we have lots of snakes and spiders, and also dengue mosquitos. We also have dangerous jellyfish and a lot of crocodiles. Further down south there are other dangerous spiders and sharks etc. To the West of Australia and the centre of Australia it is desert so I would imagine they also have some dangerous species. But don't let that stop you from visiting here. You just need education on how to protect yourself from such things which is quite easy. Australia is a beautiful country! :)

Because all hospitals have anti-venom for all different species, no one has died from a spider bite in Australia in about 3 decades. And only two people die a year from snake bites (usually small children because the toxins will kill them faster than they can get to a hospital), and those people that get bit live further in-land not in the city or near the coast. A horse is more likely to kill you here.

@jlax0007 l live in Melbourne, and my friend's husband died a year ago from a spider bite, when he was working in the garden. He died in his sleep after the hospital staff sent him home.
