I appreciate your advices and I always take them to heart. One time you advised me not to try too hard to sound like a native. I realized a while later that you were absolutely correct. It is part of who I am and it makes me unique. All I'm doing nowadays is try to rectify some of my pronunciation mistakes that were the result of me continuously listening to non-native English teachers instilling in me their messed up way of saying the English words, and then growing up and realizing I should do something about it. Unfortunately, it's more hard work that learning a language from scratch.. but what can I do? I aspire for more improvement.
