I’d like to mean, not yet punctured thanks to “首の皮一枚でぎりぎりまだつながっている”, but at the same time, that makes the defect be not noticeable.

@hashimoton2020 I'd say there is no direct translation for this phrase. if you want to talk about a fabric or something that was stabbed but a hole was not made , you would say something about it being "durable material" or "puncture resistant"

Thank you so much.
I believe that “skating on thin ice” seems to suggest a near situation, but this example doesn’t work to explain my point of nuance accompanied by a potential risk which is not noticeable. Eventually it will not work physically at all, in spite of its appearance which seems normal.
I’m wondering if you can find any good phrase like “low-noticeable”, instead of “resistant”.
