FelixT379: avvertire = prendre conscience de quelque chose...quand la situation changera' nous vous le ferons savoir= quando la situazione cambierà ve lo faremo sapere.. c'est a' dire ti avvertiremo.
Provare= 1)pour arriver a un fin, provo a controllare meglio essayer 2) provare un sentimento: essayer une emotion, amour-misericorde 3) provare la realtà di un fatto prouver la realite' d'un fait.. Il. a ete' prouve' que la terre est ronde

Hi. So I don't know if it was a mistake to ask my question in French. But the verbs avvertire and provare are both used as a translation for "ressentir/feel". I know that provare is "essayer/try" and that avvertire is "avertir/warn" but those two translations have nothing to do with each other. I wanted to know if there is a difference between "avvertire un sentimento" and "provare un sentimento". I heard both while watching movies and they can both be translated with "ressentir/feel".

Provare:1) I try to start the car 2) I have a feeling...joy for example 3)I prove that the thing is true
Provare un sentimento= I love, I hate
Avvertire: I feel uncomfortable= I perceive, notice of that= become aware that the relativo ship is over : avverto, mi sono reso conto, capisco che la relazione è finita.

I am a French native speaker. But your first answer did not answer my question, and there were things that you cannot says in French. Like "essayer une émotion". So I thought you didn't understand my question or that you used google to translate a definition. Not being a dick, that's just what I felt. ;) The second though probably does answer my question more. I'll need to check the two words closer. Thank you.
