Has anybody got any suggestions for any resources/courses/apps etc for learning Italian? I’m visiting next month and would like to get to A2 level. I will also be doing language exchanges and exposure to Italian-language media, but I am looking for help with grammar and learning vocabulary. I don’t really like Duolingo. Thanks!

Making suggestions is always difficult. Everyone is different.
Anyway my suggestion is to use few resources in order not to go crazy. I think it's better to finish a simple resource than start ten resources without finishing a single one.

If you don't like Duolingo-style apps, try the "classic" approach: grammar, audio / video, exercises. Maybe a little slow but more "safe".

I think if you reach a "solid and secure A2 foundation" plus 1 month of language exchange you could try the test (considering that you speak Spanish, you already know that a table is masculine and a chair is feminine.. 😅).
