"ah" and "uh" are similar?
"ah" and "uh" sound almost the same to me(to Japanese)

Yes, completely different.
Here’s what you do – you make a gigantic list of words which all have the same vowel sound. Make a list for every single vowel sound which is causing you problems.
Then say them over and over while keeping your ear open for examples of native speakers saying them. Try to get to the point where you are convinced that you are saying each separate type of sound differently.
It sounds like a very basic method but, I guarantee it, it works.

The point is, the Japanese sounds are not 100% transferable to the English sounds. That particular Japanese character might sound one way to me, but the important thing is that I learn how to pronounce it so that I don’t cause any native Japanese people confusion when they are listening to me. And that’s what you have to achieve with learning English vowels.
