It depends on a culture. In Slovakia in most familes when we come home we change shoes and weat sluppiers or just walk in house without shoes. In most houses we have carpets pn floor so walking with dirty shoes would be really strange. And it is also matter of a hygiene. To wear shoes all day long? Not a good idea.

We change our shoes, too, when we enter our house. We never lay on the bed with our shoes on. It's not comfortable or hygienic. I saw American people get in bed with their shoes on on movies, I just wonder why.

Sometimes I lay on the bed with my shoes on but I never get in it with my shoes on. The only time I wear my shoes when I'm on the bed is if I'm not planning on staying there long
