The three major religions in Korea are Buddhism, Protestantism, and Catholicism.
According to statistics,  about 50% of Koreans don't have religions.
About 20% are Protestants, 17% are Buddhists, and 11% are Catholics.

It seems that urban people mainly believe in Catholicism or Protestantism, while rural people mainly believe in Buddhism.

Most temples in Korea are mainly in the mountains.
At first, I thought it was because the land price was lower.
In the past, during the Korean Joseon Dynasty period, Confucianism was adopted as the national political ideology and Buddhism was suppressed.
Most of the temples were demolished because of the suppression of Buddhism. However, temples in the mountains still remain.
