Domande Inglese (Stati Uniti)

A: More and more he sided with the Japanese staff in any difference of opinion between them and his boss, the branch manager, who was also American.
B: You mean he was supposed to be an *interface between the two sides, but he got biased. We'd say that he forgot which side his bread was buttered on.

Is it possible to replace "interface" with "bridge" in this context?
