Che cosa significa Quando chel cubo con le cose appresso
Se agguaglia à qualche numero discreto
Trouan dui altri differenti in esso.
?

To begin with: I don't speak Italian, and I'm not learning it. However, I truly believe that it is a beautiful language and I love Italian cuisine ;)

I ask this question because I have a problem translating the first three sentences of the poem to English. And I need it for my math class. (I need to understand the poem.)

I found an English translation of the poem on the Internet. However, it uses quite a lot of wired and old English words which nobody knows—specifically the word “cose” (in Italian) is translated to “cose” in English (nobody knows what that means).

I would appreciate any help from anyone. :)
(a simple translation without using sophisticated English words)

PS It is a poem written by Niccolo Fontana Tartaglia (an Italian mathematician from Milan) in 1539. I didn't include the whole poem because it is too long.
