Please explain about the garbage separation and reclying system in Australia. Here in Korea, it's very strict to separate recycling. Food waste also has to be separated from general waste.
Is garbage separation and recycling in Australia as strict as Korea?

It is slightly different depending on where you go in Australia, but there are similarities.
There are two main bins that we put our rubbish in. The 'red' bin, which is for general waste, and the 'yellow' bin, which is for general recycling. Some places also have a 'green' bin, which is for organic and biodegradable waste. (such as food items).
Unlike Korea, there are no specific bags that we put waste in, any bag (or no bag) is acceptable. Also, we usually don't divide our recycling into different categories, like paper, plastic, and metals. We just put it all in the same 'yellow' bin.
For large waste items, we usually have to take them to a specific dumping area.

Hi! It sounds like garbage separation in Korea is more strict than it is in Australia. Most houses here have three bins - one for recycling (cardboard, glass, aluminium and recyclable plastics), one for general waste (food, plastic and other non-recyclable things) and one for garden waste and biodegradable things. In some places people have a separate bin for glass, but that isn’t very common in my experience.
