Hello. If you were to give a piece of advice to a foreigner planning to go to Korea (to live), (other than studying Korean hard) what advice would you give?

I'd give some advice about the garbage separation system in Korea since it's very important in daily life.
Korea has one of the strictest garbage separation systems in the world and it costs money to take out the garbage in Korea. For the environment, everyone has to separate recyclables properly from general trash(non-recyclables) and food waste.
* Recyclables:
paper, glass, can, plastic, styrofoam, battery, vinyl plastic, transparent PET bottle. (You have to remove vinyl plastic from PET bottles when you separate recyclables.) We have to sort out all these recyclables properly and they have to be gone into each 8 container in a place to throw out the garbage.
* General waste:
You have to buy biodegrable standard plastic garbage bags to take out general trash. They're sold in most grocery stores and supermarkets.
* Food waste:
In all apartments, there are bins to collect food waste.
* Large waste items
If you want to throw away large waste items such as furniture, you have to buy a specific sticker from your apartment management office or dong office and put it in a designated area after you attach it on the waste.
* Clothes, shoes, bag
There are clothing bins in all residential areas.
You can find more detailed information if you google.
I've heard some foreigners living in Korea complaing about this system saying it's very strict, but it's all for the environment and our descendants. All Koreans are accustomed to this separation system and we feel very uncomfortable when we see someone not separating garbage properly.
