It's actually not really typical to use that in a German sentence as long as you're not intrusively flirting or in a more intimate realtionship with that girl already.
You could say: "Danke, Schönheit." or "Danke, Süße." but I wouldn't advice that if you don't know her better or communicate in a playful manner :)

I see but what if the intention was to flirt with that girl?
Would it be insulting to call her “sube”?

It depends on what kind of signals she sends.
What I wanted to say is that it's less typical to add that in a German sentence and that Germans usually do that when they are already dating or in a relationship. I think the chances are 50% that the girl feels irritated or downgraded by being approached like this by a stranger and 50% that she's a little puzzled but flattered by the attention. So it's not exactly insulting but a little pushy (depending on the context) :)

That makes sense.
Because I have recently arrived in Germany and I have no idea how to approach a German girl in a way without making her feel insulted/awkward and I want to make sure I don’t get in trouble for trying out new words I learned.
How would you say a typical way of approaching a German girl?

I would not say "Süße". You may say: "Danke, das ist (echt) süß/lieb."
"Danke, du bist (echt) süß" is also possible,
"Danke, schöne Frau" too.
