よって is one of conjugated form of よる.
But, there are many verbs read よって.
ex. 依って、寄って、酔って、選って、縒って、etc.
So, you should show the sentence which contains よって.

This よって is 依って, but it is usually written in hiragana. It means "by (means of)".
依って also means "based on".
ex. これは法律によって解決します。
Another よって which often used is 因って (due to).
ex. この建物は地震によって破壊されました。
There are many よってs else, and most of them are written in hiragana.

I think so.
But about 依って, 因って and 拠って, they has common meaning like "affected by" roughly.
ex.
居住を共にすることによって (by (means of))
法律によって (based on)
地震によって (due to)
etc.
寄って, 酔って and 縒って can be distinguished based on context only.
