I read some sentences in the Dictionary of Basic Japanese Grammar that said:
"わたくし山田ともします"
"この本面白いよ"
"あの人誰ですか"
They omitted wa on all sentences and said it was grammatically admissible.
I would like to know in which cases I am able to omit the particle wa?
The explanation they gave weren't exactly as helpful as I'd liked.

In my opinion, particles wa and ga are something to add, not to omit.
I posted my view on "wa vs ga" thing. I just randomly put my thoughts, but perhaps it could be of a little help to your question.
