@skeeeh I didn't finish yet, but I have something:
That experience starts 5 years ago; when I was ending my last year of ESO. All this year my classmates and I were selling cupcakes, biscuits, and so on… to go on a school trip. We planned to do a Mediterranean cruise, all included with an excellent price! But for several reasons we have to cancel the trip. We were very sad…
My friend Laura and I really want to travel, so I had an excellent idea. I thought that we could go to London to visit my family, because that year they were going to sell the house and came to live to Spain.
We told this idea to our parents, with a bit of luck I convinced my mom to talk with my aunt and uncle and ask them if we could stay a few days in their house.
I felt very happy when my uncle and aunt said that they were pleased that we could stay with them a few days in their house, so we started to organize everything.
We search cheap flight from Vigo or Santiago de Compostela but it were very expensive! So we have to go to Oporto, I can’t remember the price, but I think it costs about 90€, and of course, with a low cost airline (I think was EasyJet).
The next step was go to the police to take documents to underage could travel alone. Here we didn’t have problems.
We started to be worried as the departure day was coming, because we couldn’t find anyone who can drive us to Oporto’s Airport, all of our family had to work, and no one is available. I remember that my aunt Monica didn’t have work those days so I ask her. She said yes so the problem was solved. We were very nervous, Laura was more nervous than me because she never had flown before.
At the airport everything was ok, they checked our baggage, and ordered us to take out all the electronic devices like charger, smartphones…etc.
During the flight we took a lot of photos and videos and also met two girls from Germany. Afterwards we start to feel turbulences due to the bad weather, so Laura was afraid.
When we arrive to London we could see the amazing views from the air. We landed in Stansted Airport; we went to baggage claim to pick up our suitcases. After that we went to passport control and here the problems started.
The man who works on the passport control saw that we were very young, so he asked to my friend Laura if she was travelling alone or with someone. She beckoned me. I think the man asked her because she is a small girl, she is 148 cm, and looks very young. Laura doesn’t speak English very well so I tried to explain the man everything. He couldn’t understand us, so he called someone to take us to a retention area. This area was not a room and of course not a waiting room. This area was a few meters in the middle of the airport divided by strings, and in the inside 2 benches. We felt embarrassing because the people were watching us. The girl tried to speak with us, and I tried to explain everything again.
She asked us where we came from, why we were there, if we would stay in a hotel… and more questions. I explain her that we were there to visit my uncle and my aunt; they lived London City, in Kilburn and we would stay 15 days in their house. Then she asks where my familiars are, were they in the airport? I said that they had to work, so have to go to their house by bus and train. I told our plans: take a bus (Terravision) from the airport to Victoria train station, once in there take a bus or metro to their house.
This girl demanded us the telephone number of our parents, she called but no one answered. We had to wait in the airport 1h 30’ and we were tired. Suddenly, I thought to give my aunt’s telephone number, the girl called and my aunt explained the entire problem.
But here don’t finish our bad experience. After this incident, we got ready to take a bus to Victoria Station. We had good luck because the train arrives in 15’, so meanwhile we went to eat something.
When we arrived at Victoria Station we decided to go out to take a break and relax. Outside we saw a bus stop and on the bus schedule we realized that that line go close to Kilburn so we took the bus.
We were determined to take the bus and rest during the bus route, it turns out that we were going in opposite direction of our destiny!
I´m writting the end but I didn't finish yet. Thanks for your help.
