Choosing a school because of good professors is one of the important advantages to decide whether or not you go to the school (rather than whether or not there are a few friends. Who teaches you? It’s professors, but not your friends) ‘"

Also, you should go to meet and talk with some professors to see if their personalities and teaching skills fit with you instead of just researching them online. Choosing a school because of good professors is one of the important ways to decide whether or not you go to the school, rather than whether or not there are a few friends there. Who teaches you? It’s professors, not your friends."

In the last sentence, you wouldn't use "but," because the first part of the sentence doesn't contradict the part after the comma.

2) "I only watched episode one of ‘Yuri on Ice’ and ‘Re:Zero’ each. ‘Yuri on Ice’ looks interesting. It looks more interesting than ‘Re:Zero’. Yuri falls in love with the Russian skater. I laughed loud when I heard the line ‘I’m a half-elf’. What’s the ‘half-elf’? A ‘half-male human’ and ‘half-female human’."

I noticed you use parentheses a lot. It is really hard to use parentheses correctly most of the time in English, and they often aren't necessary.

You advice not to use parentheses a lot and not to use 'but' in the affirmative sentence is helpful.

Can I ask you some questions?
Should I use 'there' after 'not' and the end of the sentence? "whether or not there are a few friends there"
