Your opinion is the only way to determine the "best" fastfood restaurant. McDonald's is probably the most famous.

I personally like Wendy's or Carl's Jr. the most for burgers, but a lot of people love In and Out for burgers. If you get the chance, you should try Chipotle. Their burritos are amazing. Subway is relatively healthy fast food.

its depending on which part of the US your destination is. if more southern then I would suggest Cheddars, Applebee's, Canes (really unhealthy), olive garden, and chick-fil-a. I suggest any interesting resturant to you, that would satisfy you new expierence in the US.

McDonald's is definitely the most famous and well known. But my personal favorites are Culver's, subway, and chic-fil-a :)

smash burger, steak 'n shake, and wendy's are the best fast food burger places on the east coast in my opinion. in n out is the best on the west coast.

As most people already stated above, McDonald's is probably the most well known. From my observations, it seems as if In-N-Out is well liked. There's a a difference haha. It's a burger and fries joint and best known to be made fresh and in the spot. I don't eat it much but there's always a line stretching at least 10 cars each in their two drive ways.
