Can "if" be used with "or not"? I was taught that "if" can't used with "or not" in school whether in the form of "if or not" or "if ... or not". But recently I learned that they can be used together in a grammar book, but only in the form of "if ... or not". "If or not" is still wrong. So does sentence like "I don't know if it's true or not." right?
