But i think it meant if koreans could distinguish foreigners by their accent, not their appereance. like, most of the times i can guess where tourists come from when they're speaking my native language, cause french people have a totally different accent from like, german people. so i wouldn't be surprised if koreans could distinguish our accents too, when we're speaking korean😂

@fannytd Oh, It's not an issue at all. Native speakers of English very often have problems with 요- sound. Also pronouncing ㅎ is a very common mistake (it is usually omitted) . But you can't guess persons nationality by that, this mistake is general for all students.
Also I've found out that beginning Russian learners pronounce ㄹ in 러시아 as "р", while it's more like an -l-sound. But this is again the very general speaking mistake and all natives in languages with rough "r" (like in German or Italian) are prone to pronounce some words with wrong sub-phoneme of ㄹ (r instead of l).
There's also one lifehack how you can distinguish, but it's more about the dialects and all that things. If you feel like people around you are constantly shouting at each other and arguing - you must have faced the Busan dialect. People have very speciific intonation pattern there.
If you hear somebody using 려자 instead of 여자, this person is probably a North Korean defector.
