it depends on the context of what your saying for example if your trying to ask were the bank is you would say, "what is the banks address?"
also you don't say "bank's" with the apostrophe. it's just banks. i hope that made sense to you.

banks without an apostrophe is plural
E.g. there are two banks in this suburb.
bank's with an apostrophe is possessive
Can you please tell. me the bank's address?
you cannot says multiple banks have one address.
You would have to say can you please provide me with the addresses of all the banks in this suburb.
banks' with the apostrophe after the s indicates the possessive of a plural

it is very important to know the difference between the two
The boy's bag = one boy - his bag
The boys' bag = multiple boys but one bag
the boy's bags = one boy multiple bags
the boys' bags = multiple boys, multiple bags.
Some of my students make this mistake even in high school and it is one of my pet peeves.

in the example bank is - the apostrophe is used as a contraction. But in the case of the bank's address it is used to indicate the possessive.
