Well, I guess opera is popular among a certain kind of population. It's kind of an elitist activity, considering the price.
So, it's not really famous among the youth (except if they were born in a family with enough money), but starting from a certain age (mine, for instance) I think that more people are curious about them. And can afford them.
But it's still something mostly done by people a bit older than us.

Classical music is considered pretty elitist, and opera is probably the style seen as the most elitist. I personally love classical music, half my family being classical musicians, but it is not that popular. I'm not a big fan of opera either, I prefer instrumental music :)

I'm 15 and Opera is not popular. As I don't know many Opera I can't say which is my favorite 😅. As people said before, Opera is not seen as a "cool" activity whether I think it's interesting (as some rare people of my age). It's seen as something boring. I personally don't know or watch Opera 😅
