こんばんは、
to+どうしは、どうし二つがある文で使ってあります。たとえば「AしてBする。」のです。「Aする。」のは to 以外の方が正しいでしょうか。
I eat sushi. (すしを食べます。)
I go to eat sushi. (すしを食べて行きます。)
I am eating sushi. (すしを食べてます。)
これと同じでしょうね。
He drinks sake.
He goes to drink sake.
He is drinking sake.
がんばりましょう。

@jdonatomobile Thank you so much. We tend to confuse how to use to + verb and ~ing. For example, you may say " I started to learn English" as well as " I started leaning English." However, when you say "I decided to watch the TV program." and I think there is a slight difference between the sentence and "I decided watching the TV program."
So what I want you to ask you is not about present continuous or something.
Does it make sense?

@Phoenix0501 分かりました、すみません。私はこれが日本語で話しにくいので、英語にもどります。すみません。
"I started to learn English." feels like the same thing as "I started learning English."
"I decided to watch the TV program." feels like you watched it and nothing more.
"I decided on watching the program." feels like you watched it, and also you'll watch more later.
I hope more English speakers will also reply.

@jdonatomobile Thank you for helping me. I just have talked with an American English teacher about this and he said that there is no rule and native English speakers might not understand what is the problem to understand it. So I'm afraid that my question might not make sense for you. He said I need to remember those verbs if they are followed by gerunds or infinitive or both. Anyway, thank you for your effort.
