the first japanese manga i read was 「となりのトトロ」(tonari no totoro) it means "my neighbor totoro". there's kanji BUT they put the hiragana characters next to it. if you don't know many words then you should try to look them up or come here to ask! :-)

@I was read doraemon for manga. Its simple word that written in hiragana and some in katakana, and have furigana for kanji word.
And for anime I watched doraemon, chi sweet home, shirokuma cafe, chibimarukochan.. etc.
