Some cultural factors doesn't allow them to eat beef.
However, there are some communities in Nepal where they can eat beef and pork too .

We eat pork. Who told you that we don't eat pork?😒 There are people who don't eat pork but it is not restricted like beef.
Nepal is a Hindu majority country and according to Hindu beliefs cow is God, so they don't eat beef.

well Nepali eats pork meat..mainly caste like Magar gurung rai limbu eats porks meats...since Nepal is a hindu country...Cow is worshipped as god...so you cannot eat beef meat

@Jolin2017 yea we don't eat beef because cow is a sacred animals for us, we worship cow as our mother and we drink milk of it. also cow is symbol of prosperity and it's our national animal too. these all are religious beliefs but in reality for agricultural country like Nepal has lost of important of cow or other domestic animals. and about pork there is no such a ban to to eat them, I eat pork and I'm hardcore Hindu too 😋😋😋😂😂. Constitutionally killing cows and eating beef is crime as well as killing people.

Alot of people living here are Hindu so we cannot eat beef because it represents God. whereas for pork it depends upon different caste.
