how people in Spain celebrate the last day of a year?

toda la familia se reúne, cenan juntos y cuando van a llegar las 12 nos comemos las uvas. Luego de eso brindamos y encendemos los fuegos artificiales que (mi familia al menos) compra todos los años 😉

Usually (not always, depend os the person) the families have dinner and drink together. After the dinner, when it's going to be twelve o'clock, the family makes the countdown eating twelve grapes (one grave per second during the last twelve seconds of the year). After that, the family drinks and make wishes for the new year. Then, the young members of the family goes all the night with their friends to the party and have a good time ;)

In the 31st of December, all the family is together and we eat a lot of different things, the Spanish ham (jamón serrano) can't miss hehe. Other typical food is cheese, "chorizo", meat, fish, seafood, soup, etc. And as a dessert we eat a lot of nougats in many flavours, "mazapanes" and "bombones" (chocolates I think in English).

We eat the dinner like at 22:00 more or less. We have dinner and talk like for an hour and then like at 23:00 we just wait xd. We dance, drink wine, listen to "villancicos" (Christmas carols), etc.

And at 23:55 we are all running from here to there very nervous and all things xD and we prepare our "uvas" (grapes), because we have the tradition to eat 12 grapes before the bell goes down and ring.

And well, then, in new year, we kiss and congrat everybody and are happy xdd. And then some people go out and other like to stay at home in family. In my case we always stay at home, adults drink and dance and children play games xd.

Ah, I forgot, we also like to see the fireworks right after the new year.
