I know some verb stems ending with ㅅ are removed when conjugating sometimes. For example 짓다 —> 지어
But with verbs like 낫다 when it gets conjugated to 나아, is it pronounced just like na (나)?
And 젓다 gets conjugated to 저어, does it get pronounced like jeo (저)?
So basically, verbs which have ㅅ as a final constanant (bachim) and 아 or 어 as a final vowel is the 아/어 that gets added on basically silent if that makes sense.

@sweetmandycandy: Yes just 나아/저어 is pronounced 나아/저어
Those are changed because 낫아/젓어 is pronounced difficult!
