I'm French and I study French grammar in university.
I wanted to answer your question from my point of view, so I would say that no French isn't easy even for us native speakers, probably due to the fact that French has a complex grammar system as some other languages do too.
But I'd also say that depending on how good you've been taught and how good you understood grammar when you was young, will play a big part in the french grammar level of a native speaker I think.
it's like the surrounding you grow up in, I believe that a bunch of things interfers in our french grammar level..
hum I don't know if you see what I mean? At least these are one of the things I understood and I do believe that it applies not only to french speakers :3

Sadly most of the French suck in grammar, conjugation and especially orthograph...
But normally yes, every native speaker is supposed to find his mother language easy because most of it becomes fastly obvious ^^

I'm French and I study French grammar in university.

I would say yes and no. Some stuff are really easy and others are a bit more tricky.

I would say some are and some are not. I myself struggle with it even though I am a native. Though who isn't bad at grammar in their native language :))
