Toilet is an accurate depiction. The first step to solving a problem is acknowledging it and the film makers did a great job taking a risk like that because mostly indian people watch movies for entertainment not education and theres chances the film wont work (if it doesnt have popular actors like Akshay Kumar). Peepli Live is another movie showing tragedies of farmers lives (of India) in a comedic background (i am sure theres many more but this is the one that came to my head when I thought of underrated/misunderstood films)
