I believe it's common to hate on the authorities of Russia, but I don't think we have any particular opinion on normal russian people. In certain areas of the north I even have an impression that people are pretty positive (but I'm not from there and have never been there, so it's just an impression). As for Russia itself I think there are a lot of people who would not be willing to go there due to stories of corrupt cops making trouble and stuff like that (you would know better than me whether those stories have truth to them). There are also a lot of people who don't mind and would like to go to Russia.
In conclusion, if you're russian and thinking about going to Norway and/or talking to norwegians I don't think you will have any problems.

some Russians are really rude, but there are also a lot of tolerant and nice people. but this does not compare with the tolerance of the Norwegian. I'd like to live in Norway!

@lurrton basically what Themex said, just wanted to add that I'm from the north and lots of people think of Russians as kind of distant relatives. our countries border each other, northern Norway and northern Russia has similar weather, and vodka is stereotypical for both northern Norwegians and Russians, haha. I know several people here who speaks some Russian (I'm also learning, it's by far the language I love the most) just because our countries are close. you won't have any problems in any parts if Norway though!

I haven’t heard any negative things about russians. Polish people, who are awesome get some negativity. Russians got no probs here.
