Χερούλι is the part of an item that basically protrudes, which makes it easier for a human to get a hold of it... Its related to «χέρι» which means “hand”.
A simple example would be this: Άνοιξε την πόρτα με το χερούλι. (S/He opened the door with the door handle)
Λαβή is a female noun and it indicates the part of an item that isn’t protruding (imagine some tongs) but we still use it to handle the aforementioned item... Η λαβή της τσιμπίδας. (The handle of the tongs)
Also, the word has a second meaning; that of “move” —> λαβή πάλης = wrestling move. It’s only used in hand-to-hand sports though! Hope this helped! 😄
