Than I think that isn't very important the region because you will train German in every city. You can choose a place with mobility, attractions and a good German course. But don't chose Berlin and Bayern because the accent is very strong and different.

I live in Hessen, I like the accent here, cause I can understand the people easily, I think it`s very similar with my old German course in Brazil. When I hear someone from these 2 places, I confess, to understand is difficult

If you want a region without strong accent, Hannover is probably the best place to go.

@trews That’s what my husband suggested too. Hannover or Bonn. He says that’s is as close to Hochdeutsch (proper formal German with a clean accent) as you can get. There is no accent or dialect.
