Bokmål and Nynorsk are both written languages in norway. No one speaks either. You speak a dialect and write in one of the forms.
Bokmål is a norwegifying of Danish, while Nynorsk is a compilation of most of the dialects around the country.
When foreigners learn Norwegian, they usually learn Bokmål, as they also generally learn to speak Østnorsk(East Norwegian, like they speak in Oslo) and that is the written form closest to the dialect.
Bokmål is also a lot more popular, as only 15% of the population has said they rather use Nynorsk (2015)
