fa tutto da solo, spesso per indicare qualcuno che si crea da solo i problemi oppure si fa troppi problemi, complicandosi la vita

"Te la canti e te la suoni" significa che stai facendo tutto da solo, senza che gli altri facciano niente. For example, think of the literal meaning: "you're singing it to yourself and you're playing it (in the sense of playing a musical instrument) to yourself". It's like someone who's doing it all for himself/herself, without anyone interfering. For what concerns the meanings, it's used in different contexts. I think it's difficult to give just one meaning to it, it depends on the context! I'll do some examples in which it sounds good :) Example 1: You ask a question and don't wait for the answer, complimenting yourself. Then, the other person can answer with this expression. A: Come sono gli spaghetti che ho cucinato? Anzi, te lo dico io: sono buonissimi! (=are the spaghetti I cooked good? Nevermind, I'll tell you: they really are!) B: Te la canti e te la suoni da solo! Example 2: You're doing a reasoning all by yourself, without listening to others' opinions or giving them the time to say something to you. A: Le ho spedito una lettera ieri, ma ancora non ha risposto. E se non volesse parlarmi? Sì, non mi risponderà. (=I sent her a letter yesterday, but I haven't heard from her yet. What if she doesn't want to talk to me? Yeah, she won't answer my letter) B: Calma! Te la canti e te la suoni! I hope the examples are clear and right, because as I said this expression is used in different contexts and for different meanings. It's not something that has a single meaning, so you usually just go with the flow and feel it's right to say it. I also noticed some people use it just for one meaning and other people use it just for another. Anyway, the general meaning remains: stai facendo tutto da solo. Nel tuo caso significa che qualcuno sta facendo tutto da solo, e quindi se la canta e se la suona!
