It's clearly depending on people, but if you are polite(not rude) and try to interact with the people truly, there would be no reason Korean would not be friendly. Also, there is a thing called, "jung(정)" in Korea, which can be translated as, "Love or the pure and honest interaction between human being", most of people will be nice to anyone and everyone around the globe. However, if you only speak English(it doesn't mean Koreans don't like English) and have quite bad perspectives(i.e. thinking something that is different, is wrong, culturally or etc.) upon Korean, it would reflect back to you.

And speaking only English part, it means, it can look very alien to Koreans, when you'll going to stay in Korea for long term.

Get what I'm saying. Like, when there is an Asian who only speak Asian language even in western countries can look not common, it's same feeling but other way around.

Korean will treat you well enough if you have an open mind without being rude in the South Korean social etiquette.

This question is just too generalized...I'd assume that people in Korea would be kind and welcoming, but you have to do your research before visiting different countries.

I'd say as long as you respect the Korean culture, most people are really friendly and will be willing to help you out if they can provide it. One thing I would recommend would be learning some simple Korean phrases such as 감사합니다! or 죄송합니다. This would show locals that you were willing to meet them halfway with the language barrier and they'd therefore, have a much higher opinion of you.
