Qual è la differenza tra reading e read ?Sentiti libero di rispondere con un esempio.

reading is for what you are doing at the moment for example
yulyana is reading a book
=yulyana sedang membaca buku

the usage for 'read' is usually for something you regularly do and it is commonly used for present tense but like not exactly at this moment while reading is used when youre doing it at the exact moment and you havent finished doing it yet or for example
yulyana reads a book about politic
yulyana membaca buku tentang politik

the difference is between the 'sedang' which means like what you are doing right now, right on that moment

Hi Indah, Read is a verb and Reading is gerund ( verb+ing ). Let me explain additional examples for Reading. Reading can be used as in : 1. Present / Past/Perfect Continuous tense. It indicates an action / event which is in process and has not finished yet whether in the present or in the past. For instance : I'm reading the book(Present), I was reading the book (Past), I have been reading the book for hours (Perfect) 2. Reading can be a noun as well. Example: Reading the exam material is a must if you want to pass it ( Membaca bahan ujian itu suatu keharusan jika kamu mau lulus ujian ). The best of luck for you Indah.😄
