1.I uttered to my friend “ I don’t like her” utter has two meanings. One is when someone makes a sound vocally mostly used to explain sudden outbursts of speech or unexpectedly . The second meaning is use as expression of complete or absolute of something or someone. Example “ I was in utter amazement of the view”
2. Yell and scream are basically the same thing. Expect that screaming is in a higher pitch and just making noise. I don’t think you use speech when you scream. You just make noise.
Yelling is like raising your voice. Or making your speech louder
“ the baby was screaming”
The man yelled across the room, “I quit!”

utter is often used to imply something being said seriously. It is also often associated with speaking in a low tone. Yell and scream could be used interchangeably in some cases but, as stated previously, have slightly different implications.

@HDGD "He uttered a curse upon his enemies." or "The animal uttered out a painful cry". In the second example there isn't a word being uttered, but rather a noise. By using the word utter in this example we imply that the animal's noise is desperate, intense, and serious.

@selentz3 so can I say this.
"he was uttering because of the pain."
"he uttered the quotes of Martin Luther King."
"he was uttering because of the pain."
"he uttered the quotes of Martin Luther King."

You use utter and it's forms in conjunction with what was said/uttered. So for the first example you gave you need to say what he was uttering. Examples: "he was uttering nonsense..." or "He was uttering cries for help...". If he was just making painful noises then maybe choose a word like groan, whimper, or wail.
The second example works perfectly if you are trying to give a sense of tenseness or seriousness to the moment.

Yes, the word "utter" and "say" can be used the same way in a sentence. Examples: "They utter a word." or "They say a word." They just have different implications for how the "word" was spoken.
