I noticed while watching Chinese dramas a.) Some of the characters have English names, & b.) Every now & then they would insert English words in practically perfect English. 
Why is this? 
I'm just wondering because a.) In Korean dramas characters BARELY use English names, & b.) If they speak in English, they do so w/ a Korean accent.

If you are talking about Hong Kong drama, it's because we usually call others in their English name in our daily life, and some primary/secondary schools and all universities teaching in English, the graduates just used to using English, so sometimes they just mixed English and Chinese in one sentence.

Hong Kong wad one of the colony of England for abt hundred years, so english have a high status in HK. We learn English since we were 3, and ppl think that even the local hongkongers are not good at written chinese, gd at English would be enough. It is weird that Chinese is relatively not that important in HK.

The Chinese language level of Hong Kong people is not substantially good enough to express themselves solely in Chinese. Therefore, they sometimes insert English words within sentences. Also, there are a few Hong Kong people had tried to pretend superior than others by purposely doing that to look like a foreign born/grown-up/studied person.
