وَاِذَا قٖيلَ لَهُمْ اٰمِنُوا كَمَا اٰمَنَ النَّاسُ قَالُوا اَنُؤْمِنُ كَمَا اٰمَنَ السُّفَهَاءُ اَلَا اِنَّهُمْ هُمُ السُّفَهَاءُ وَلٰكِنْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Normally isn’t the interrogative particle أ used before negative sentences? Why here is it used before an affirmative sentence?

Normally أ is used in negative interrogation.
ألا تعرفون؟
But here in the ayah, it is used like
أنؤمن...؟

this is not an affirmative sentence " أنؤمن كما اٰمَنَ السفهاء" it's interrogative sentence

aha..you can use it before any verb..it's a question tool has the same meaning with
هل
هل نؤمن بهذا=أنؤمن بهذا
but it can be used before the negative letters as you said but هلnot

No , we don't use the interrogative particle "أ" befor negative sentence only , it's like the interrogative particle"هل " we can use them in both negative and affirmative sentences so we can replace "أ" with "هل" and we can say هل جاء محمد؟ or أجاء محمد؟ and both senteces have the same meaning which is "did mohamed come ?"

I forget to explain that we can't use هل in anegative sentence but أ is possible .
And in The Holy Koran the particle أ used instead of هل as أ indicate the violence of opposing of disbelievers than هل .
