It wouldn't make more than a mouthful. sembra naturale?

I heard someone say that. Sounds natural?
If so, could you please tell me what 'make' means there?

I tried making another sentence with that phrase :
"The cook cut a plum into halves so that it would make a mouthful for the customer."
Is it fine?

Naturale

This is a set phrase referring to a small amount of food, usually when the person is hungry or wants more food and is disparaging the amount of food that they have (because it isn't enough). Your sentence doesn't sound natural because that's not the kind of situation that you would use it in. The one in the picture is correct.

You could rephrase it as "It wouldn't be more than a mouthful." As well.
