Why do people use 난 in a polite sentence that ends in 요?

Can u give an example that you've heard of before? Cuz 난 is not specially used just for polite sentence.

@MythicalMikaila: 난 is just a short way of saying 나+는. 나는 널 좋아해(I like u), 난 널 좋아해. They are same. Actually, 저 is commonly used for polite sentence. Ex: 처음 뵙겠습니다, '저'는 가로수길 근처에 사는 미카일라라고 합니다.(Nice to meet you, I'm Mikaila who lives nearby Garosugil.

@MythicalMikaila: if u really wanna compliment for someone's personality. Appropriate words would be 난 니 성격이 마음에 들어
Ur example is like when somebody ask you 'which part of that person was likable?' U may answer just like ur example
