How do I say this?

If I'm going to the US and someone asks me if I've already gotten some place to stay in, and I want to say that it'll be in January, that's why I still have time until there.

Four more months until the trip

I said it. Is it correct?

Another one:

Six more days until my cousin arrives here.

If you just say "Four more months until the trip", it doesn't answer the question. The person is asking where you'll be staying.

To answer the question, you can say, "No, not yet. The trip isn't until January so I still have time to find a place to stay." Or you can replace "isn't until January" with "is in four months".

For the other one, you can say, "Six more days until my cousin arrives." You don't need the "here".

You can also add where your cousin is coming from if you'd like. "Six more days until my cousin arrives from X."
