Hey guys. I am sending an email for a request for approval. but felt that this sentence is a bit long and annoying especially for the day part.
could anyone fix it to easily readable sentence?
I appreciate your help.
"I have a concern that I still have not received the confirmation email from the department and that you may have forgotten of my approval as the day I sent the request email was the day you were on a busy staying out of Montreal. "
The reason I am adding 'day' thing is that I want to be polite that I respect you have done your work but I am in a anxiety that you might have forgotten... such such.
Thank you

This should be easy to read and should have the same meaning:
"I am concerned because I have not received my confirmation email from the department yet. I understand that I sent my request email while you were busy outside of Montreal, and I wanted to make sure that you had received my request for approval."
It is usually more polite to ask if someone has received something than to suggest that they have forgotten it.
